Hello!
I am a visual artist, scenic painter, public school art teacher, and director of independent summer arts programming for children and teens.
I have lived and worked in Western Massachusetts for over 10 years. As an educator, I am essentially concerned with how to create and implement an art program that responds to local and global issues and interrogates individual and social responsibility. I am committed to exploring the full capacity of the arts to engage individuals and communities with the work of shaping a sustainable, just, and beautiful future.
I am inspired by my students, my environment and my wonderful band of creative and thoughtful cohorts and collaborators. Currently, I am continuing my research at the University of Florida through the MA of Art Education graduate program. Read more about my research here. Read more about my teaching philosophy here. See samples of my painting here.
